Hi everyone,

After years of thinking about it, I have decided to run for local elections. As an independent. I have a desire and I understand how difficult it will be and I am aware this is a huge challenge. I grew up in New Ross all my life. My family has been in business here for 50 years and are well known throughout County Wexford, especially Wexford town. The business has seen periods of major boom and major depression throughout the years and it’s still here to this day.

We have a deep understanding of New Ross; I am one of your own. So many young people feel like they have to leave New Ross. I am here to stay and want to help the town from falling behind. Sometimes to go forward you have to go back. It’s time for all councillors to WORK TOGETHER. To work together for the benefit of the town.

Too much slagging not enough slogging together for the town.

A mix of old and new councillors could be the formula.

The first thing I’d like to challenge is a rates rebate. We have to do more to give new businesses a chance of succeeding. It would help new businesses keep their doors open and get through their first year, which is the hardest. Currently, we have a rebate for vacancy which doesn’t make sense.

Over the course of the next couple of months, I will be sharing my ideas. I am really excited for this challenge and look forward to seeing what happens.
